Parcel Direct Ireland is a courier service provider which is used widely by the general public and small and medium businesses in Ireland. Parcel Direct Ireland has formed shipping partnerships with some of the leading global logistics providers including FedEx, UPS, TNT, DHL, DPD & GLS. Parcel Direct Ireland uses its ability to purchase service at wholesale rates and pass those savings onto their consumer and business customers.
The company was founded by Stephen O' Sullivan in 2014. Mr O' Sullivan had worked in the logistics industry for over 10 years and experienced the move online for various services, including logistics. After completing various logistics training including Six Sigma and CPC in Road Transport Operations Management, he set up Parcel Direct Ireland, using contacts with the various courier companies built up over the previous 10 years. Based in a head office in Cork City, Parcel Direct Ireland offer a low cost courier solution to consumers and small businesses throughout Ireland. They have also focused on the large number of Irish citizens living and relocating abroad.
In 2015 the company launched its eCommerce solutions in line with the Government National Digital Strategy to get more businesses throughout Ireland selling online, including working with the Local Enterprise Boards. Parcel Direct Ireland introduced a number of incentives like flat rate shipping for small businesses. They also developed a number of easy to use tools, plugins and API for small businesses to use. These included Ebay & Amazon plugins, Magento, BigCommerce, Shopify & WooCommerce API.
In 2016, Parcel Direct Ireland was nominated for the Blacknight SME Awards for it's developments.
In 2017, Parcel Direct Ireland launched a new App on Google Play and Apple Store.
